The cards on the left side consistently fall off before the cards on the right side. May be 7 cards are left on the right side for a 2 card pack. It makes good amount of noise while shuffling.

The DaVinci Wood Grain playing card shuffler is a nice looking item but it does not operate as well as I had hoped. First it is noisy. Second it does not shuffle the two stacks of cards evenly. One side consistently runs out of cards before the other. It would seem that for all the years they have been making shufflers they would be able to make one that is reasonably quiet and does a good job. Often there are cards standing on edge when you open the drawer. Since I have not had other shufflers I do not know if others do a better job. I do remember we had one when I was a kid that was hand crank. It was quiet and did a good job.

I am quite satisfied with this card shuffler. It works pretty well most of the time. Once in a while a card gets flipped or turned on it’s side, but that’s not hard to fix. The shuffler also does not work very well on smaller (non-standards) cards. However, these are nit picky issues. Overall this does a very good job of randomizing the cards. I usually run a deck through it about 4 or 5 times to be confident that it is well shuffled. The shuffler looks pretty good, too. It is not real wood, but unless you touch it you can’t really tell that it is light plastic.

Recently bought this product for my mother who has a hard time shuffling cards. Unfortunately the card shuffler doesn’t work all that well. It pulls in cards more from one side, leaving a stack of unshuffled cards each time and cards frequently get stuck in the shuffler. It will also occasionally turn a card upside down. All very frustrating things. We have found that if you don’t just hold down the button but push it in shorter intervals that seems to work better. All in all, we’re not very impressed with this product.
